Question by : Should the Lions players who mocked Tim Tebow’s religion by “Tebowing” be fined and suspended for the year?
Tim Tebow is going through the same thing Jackie Robinson went through with fans and other players hating him for bigoted reasons. The only difference is that they hate Tebow for his religion and hated Robinson for his race. Should Roger Goodell step in and send a clear message that this is 2011 and hate crimes have no place in the NFL?

Ya there should be punishable acts made. If tebow made fun of someone who was gay he would get fined and its also against his religion. So why when people make fun of his religion its funny? There should be a fine.

This has got to be the most ridiculous question I have read in quite some time. Thanks for the laugh. It’s a football field, not a church. Guess who plays football….football players, and guess what we want them to do, play football. Stop your crying and play football ! These players don’t give a rats azz about Tebow or his religion, he was having fun and playing football. DO NOT EVER compare that to what Jackie Robinson faced. Just plain ridiculous!
Comparing Tebow situation to Jackie Robinson’s is quite dramatic, however, I do believe that if the same behavior was targeted towards a Muslim player, the NFL would definitely step in & try to make s statement. It is wrong that his faith was mocked. If other players think that he is over-hyped or doesn’t belong in the NFL then let them mock that not his personal beliefs.
Tim Tebow really is the new Andre Ware.
The player shouldn’t be disciplined, but that was a low class move. It’s was like kicking a guy when he’s down. When the guy didn’t do anything bad to deserve it.
